Robert "Bobby" Caldwell is an FBI agent stationed in Nevada. The father of Linus Caldwell and husband of Mrs. Caldwell, Bobby is a well-known figure in the criminal world with his position as an FBI agent being described by his son Linus as "the greatest cover known to man."
Though he doesn't like his son "trading on his name" and will often ridicule him for making mistakes or unnecessary additions such as a false nose, he still maintains faith in Linus by recommending him to Danny for the Benedict Job.
He played a key part in the Bank Job by acting as cover from a suspicious Abigail Sponder, as well as "arresting" Livingston to swap out the card machines in the casino for rigged ones, and giving Linus an exit once the charges for the diamond case were placed.
