La Foreuse B600 is a name for each of the two drills that bored the Chunnel, or channel tunnel, across the the English Channel. The crew uses both drills to create seismic activity small enough to not disturb the areas surrounding the Bank Hotel, but large enough to seem like an earthquake to those inside the hotel-casino. During the Bank Job, the drill which dug from the English side operated at about 6.12 rpm with a torque of 20 kNm. The one that dug from the French side likely operated at a similar rate, and was a thirty-six million dollar expense for the crew.
